I continue on from the trail last week by head down Old Chevy in the Redwood Forest of Rotorua. Along the way I experience several forks and get myself turned around and lost as the sun starts setting and the rain starts falling. This mountain bike trail starts just left of the exit from Roller Coaster and ends on the main access road that, if you head left, ends up at the main car park.

Roller Coaster in the Redwood Forest of Rotorua is smooth flow trail that, as one can expect from the name, has many ups and downs throughout its length. I only end up riding half of the trail as Pondy New, which I rode last week, intersects it at the half way point. It ends just near the start of Old Chevy that I will be riding next week.

#trailpovguide provides a POV guide down Pondy New, which Split Enz flows straight into. This trail is all under forest cover and extremely smooth requiring only an XC to ride it. The official start of the trail actually requires you to ride unhill, but where Split Enz intersects results only the downhill portion of the #mountainbike trail. The trail ends right at the beginning of Roller Coaster.

In order to get to this trail one needs to turn left after exiting Billy T and continue up the forestry road to the top of Moerangi Hill.

The jumps on this #mountainbike trail are tamer than those on Little Red Riding Huck and are well sized and shaped for the trail speed. There are no drops on this trail and the surface is mostly smooth and hard-packed. This mountain bike trail starts right near the one shuttle bus drop off points and ends near the entrance the Little Red Riding Huck and Corners, which I previously filmed.
