Asian Adonis is very similar to John Deer in terms of speed and skill level required, but it's a little more flowy with less small kickers and difficult features. In order to get to it you need to enter Severed D, then right right into C-Buster and finally the trail will naturally turn into Asian Adonis. Just take a map with you as the ending to this trail puts you in the middle of nowhere with many intersections. Mount Seymour is located in North Vancouver, BC, Canada and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

Jack's trail is a mellow dual-direction XC mountain biking or gravel biking trail that is extremely well known not only because it is featured it many huge races including the BC Bike Race and Spakwus, but also because it connects to some of the best trails in Squamish including Rupert, Credit Line and Leave of Absence. This trail is great for someone just getting into the sport or biking and looking for an easy trail to ride. It starts just by the new developments at the top of Dowad Dr and ends at the south side of Alice Lake. Squamish is located about a 50 minute drive north of downtown Vancouver along the beautiful sea-to-sky highway that heads to Whistler.

Stick and Stones is an XC loop trail on the North Shore with all sorts of unique features: ladders, a giant boulder that you squeeze past, and several technical climbs. Definitely an entertaining an enjoyable trail on any bike you can climb with. It starts and ends very near the west side of Cardiac Bypass. Mount Seymour is located in North Vancouver, BC, Canada and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

Cardiac Bypass avoids the hike-a-bike section, and the downhill section, on Bridle Path on Mt Seymour. It can be ridden in either direction and its two end points are just after the bridge at the end of Severed D and by the entrance to Salamander and Sticks and Stones. It's not very technical or steep. Mount Seymour is located in North Vancouver, BC, Canada and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

It's got flow, a huge steep ladder, mini jumps, technical bits, a rock roll...the list goes on. John Deer on the North Shore and the mini section down Deer John is absolutely awesome! and quite possibly my new favorite on Mount Seymour. It is not the most obvious to get to as you enter it from Severed D, but make sure to head down it if you enjoy a fun challenge. At the bottom you end up back on Bridle Path for an easy ride back home. Mount Seymour is located in North Vancouver, BC, Canada about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

Empress Bypass is the fastest and smoothest trail on Mount Seymour on the North Shore providing a welcome bypass from the huge steep rock roll on Empress. It's like A-line but without the huge jumps....just several sweeping berms along its entire length. It starts just off Bridle Path and ends on Old Buck very near the parking lot. Mount Seymour is located in North Vancouver, BC, Canada about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

Continuing on from last week, Pingu is another classic North Shore trail with drops, ladders and jumps. I absolutely love this trail! While you can avoid all the technical features, I wanted to try challenge myself by hitting as many features as possible. This mountain bike trail starts just to the left of the exit from Corkscrew and ends at the entrance of Pangor. Mount Seymour is located in North Vancouver, BC, Canada and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

Corkscrew is an iconic North Shore trail that is a must do for anyone visiting Vancouver and wanting to challenge themselves on a black trail. It is relatively short and connects and provides excellent access to other trails such as Pingu, Ned's Atomic and Severed D. This trail begins by one of the main parking lots half way up Mount Seymour and ends on the Powerline trail near to the entrance to Pingu. Mount Seymour is located in North Vancouver, BC, Canada and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

Continuing on from my last video along Bridle Path, this bonus video of the Blair Range Trail provides an alternate way to get back from to the Old Buck parking lot. Its mostly gravel with two technical climb sections and a shallow river crossing. This mountain bike trail starts at the end of Hyannis Dr and ends by the Old Buck parking lot by the entrance to the Mount Seymour Provincial Park. Mount Seymour is located in the North Shore of BC, about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

Welcome to the North Shore! My series starts with a personal favorite technical XC trail in North Vancouver called Bridle Path. It's got all the usual North Shore features, rocks, roots, log rides and ladders. It's a great trail to ride to work on your slow skills, instead of bombing down another flow trail or an excellent trail to end on after coming down one of the higher up trails. This trail is a little bit up and down and starts part way up Old Buck trail and ends at Hyannis Point. Mount Seymour is located in North Vancouver, BC, Canada about a 20-25min drive from downtown Vancouver.

Join me as I ride up and down Sidewinder and Forest Grove trails that are both located on the west side of Burnaby Mountain. Burnaby Mountain (SFU) is located in Burnaby, BC, Canada and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.

I continue on from the trail last week by head down Old Chevy in the Redwood Forest of Rotorua. Along the way I experience several forks and get myself turned around and lost as the sun starts setting and the rain starts falling. This mountain bike trail starts just left of the exit from Roller Coaster and ends on the main access road that, if you head left, ends up at the main car park.

Roller Coaster in the Redwood Forest of Rotorua is smooth flow trail that, as one can expect from the name, has many ups and downs throughout its length. I only end up riding half of the trail as Pondy New, which I rode last week, intersects it at the half way point. It ends just near the start of Old Chevy that I will be riding next week.

#trailpovguide provides a POV guide down Pondy New, which Split Enz flows straight into. This trail is all under forest cover and extremely smooth requiring only an XC to ride it. The official start of the trail actually requires you to ride unhill, but where Split Enz intersects results only the downhill portion of the #mountainbike trail. The trail ends right at the beginning of Roller Coaster.

In order to get to this trail one needs to turn left after exiting Billy T and continue up the forestry road to the top of Moerangi Hill.

There are no drops on this trail and the surface is mostly smooth and hard-packed. #trailpovguide provides a POV guide along an XC climb or descend trail on Burnaby Mountain: The North Rd Trail. This mountain biking trail either begins or ends at the mountain bike skills park and Dead Moped, depending on which way you ride this trail. It's an excellent way to climb up Burnaby Mountain without resorting to the boring Trans Canada Trail, or an excellent way to get back to the car when you exit Mel's for instance. Plus it's got some ladders and A-frames to keep it interested. I rode this #mountainbiking trail southward (down) and ended up on Jim's Jungle and Gaglardi Way at the base of the mountain. Alternatively, you could begin/end the trail at the North Road parking lot. Burnaby Mountain (SFU) is located in Burnaby, BC, Canada and about a 25 minute drive from downtown Vancouver.
